Clothes on Wheels

Clothes on wheels for refugees in Greece.

Clothes on wheels. More than 60.000 refugees are currently stuck under terrible living conditions in military camps all over Greece. Winter is coming and people will be freezing if they don’t get proper winter clothes in time. That’s why we built a mobile truck “shop”.

The project aims to provide essential clothing and shoes to refugees in Northern Greece who are woefully unprepared for cold weather. The distribution in our free mobile boutique works on a registration system and offers refugees the opportunity to choose clothing to suit their size and individual style.

The feedback we are getting is wonderful and it proves that giving people choice and the time to select what they actually want is a much more dignified way of handing out clothes than many other forms of distribution. The mobile truck shop is a collaboration project between IHA, The Refugees Warehouse, and Team Bananas to provide this much needed service to Northern Greece.

Help us keep the refugees warm this winter

We are currently in the process of expanding the size of our ‘truck shop’ in order to allow us to supply all camps that request and require clothing before the cold becomes unrelenting. It’s a big mission and involves a lot of hard work, coordination and getting hands dirty in the warehouse. The Clothes project relies solely on donations.
